Ya está disponible una coleccion de temas que solemos tocar en las irish session del Residence los miercoles. La compilación ha sido realizada por Kobi y está en formato abc, ordenada por categorías, reels, jigs... Si deseas recibirlas, pincha aquí para realizar tu solicitud, especificando el formato (leer más adelante) y te serán remitidas por mail.

 

 

Archivos ABC: el ABC es un formato de escritura musical diseñado para compartir música (fundamentalmente música tradicional) por medios informáticos, correo electrónico e internet. En él, la música se escribe en caracteres de texto, y con la ayuda de cualquiera de los programas que existen se puede convertir en partitura, escuchar, modificar, etc. Puedes descargarte los 220 tunes más habituales en el Residence clasificados por tipo de ritmo en (link). Para poder leer la partitura o escucharlos, un programa gratuito muy recomendable es el ABCNavigator (http://abcnavigator.free.fr/). Encontrarás más información interesante sobre el formato ABC y links a otros programas y aplicaciones en http://www.walshaw.plus.com/abc/  
Archivos de texto: puedes descargarte los 220 tunes en archivo de texto (link) y, sin necesidad de tener instalado ningún programa que lea ABC, convertirlos en partitura o escucharlos (aunque la calidad del audio, sobre todo la de los adornos, no sea muy buena) en http://www.concertina.net/tunes_convert.html. Simplemente, lo que tienes que hacer es seleccionar un tune, copiarlo y pegarlo en el espacio en blanco que aparece en la página. Te convertirá el archivo de texto (.txt) en partitura (.pdf) o midi, y podrás guardarla en el ordenador.

Archivos Midi: la mitad de los tunes, tocados en sets de alrededor de 10 tunes por ritmo, están en (link a midi). El orden que siguen es el mismo que en los archivos .txt.

Si quieres buscar un tune (u otras versiones del mismo) y conoces el nombre, es muy recomendable el buscador http://trillian.mit.edu/~jc/cgi/abc/tunefind. Suelen aparecer diferentes versiones de un mismo tune, y a veces también hay diferentes tunes que comparten un mismo nombre, por lo que es importante fijarse en el compás y la tonalidad. También es muy interesante la página de http://www.thesession.org/index.php, donde además de encontrar muchas melodías tradicionales irlandesas y buscarlas por nombre, por disco, por artista, etc..., cada tune trae una lista de algunos de los discos en los que aparece.
